Long Season Farm
Long Season Farm is a diversified, certified organic 12 acre vegetable farm focusing on four season production of high quality vegetables for farmers markets, wholesale, and winter CSA.
We utilize the main growing season to have a bounty of warm loving crops from late spring through fall. We LOVE fall produce and have the most abundant selection in the fall season. In the winter our unheated high tunnels house cold hardy greens, and our storage spaces are filled with roots crops, cabbages, and winter squash. We embrace the seasons rather than struggle against them and so through the seasons we only select varieties that so their absolute best for the period we grow them.

We invite farmers of all abilities to come help us grow organic vegetables of many varieties. This year we are starting a lavender farm as well.

Ever-Growing Family Farm
We are experimenting with varieties of rice from around the world, growing in a region that has not grown rice, using traditional African farming methods, solving lots of problems as we go along. We are making the most of farming a piece of land that gets very wet during the rainy season. Our rice is harvested late fall and ready for sale mid-November. We use ecologically sound methods and welcome visitors. We also grow many vegetables including a few African vegetables.

More importantly, how do you make a connection with that person?

Thunder View Farm
For over 60 years we have been focused on using the best available genetics to allow our cattle to thrive in their environment and make efficient use of the natural forages found in our luscious hilltop pastures. This allows the cattle to produce extremely high quality, tender meat with less fat.
In addition to supplying our customers with superior Angus beef, our growing embryo transfer program is quickly moving Thunder View Farms to showcasing a genetically elite group of cattle that would make a strong foundation for any Registered Angus producer.
Barthel's Farm Market
Barthel's Farm Market began in 1947 as BAR-RO-Acres which grew into a large, commercial sweet corn farming and shipping operation. During the 1970's, the business transformed to a smaller, more retail focused farming operation including the farm stand which remains today on Route 209 outside the Village of Ellenville. Today, our 4th generation family farm grows many vegetables and fruits as well as making our own Apple Cider and baked goods. We carry a full line of greenhouse grown plants and nursery stock -- from fruit trees and shrubs to Christmas trees and more. Most recently we have expanded our business by purchasing an ice cream stand right next door to our farm stand. There we offer locally made ice cream and more.
Fiddlehead Farm
Fiddlehead Farm grows two acres of vegetables and flowers. We are a four season farm offering a winter CSA for the produce we grow in our unheated high tunnels during the winter months. We are a Certified Naturally Grown farm and we can be found at the Rosendale and Saugerties farmers markets as well as some local stores and restaurants during the summer.

Back Home Farm
We are a small organic farm with a lot of history. We currently grow vegetables, herbs, flowers, mushrooms, and specialty hemp. Our farm store is open Saturdays and Sundays (9-3) Stop on bye!
A little more about us...
Throughout 2019, we built a new barn, wash shed, greenhouse, and restored the original 1882 farm house. We are constantly working on restoring the land with cover crops and a hemp crop to break up the hard pan and add more organic matter to the soil.
The soil on the farm is what we are in most awe of. It's rockless, holds moisture, and is extremely nutrient rich due to the occasional river flooding. This results in nutrient dense crops that are strong against pest/disease and most importantly taste great.
We are USDA certified organic and are strong supporters of small farms that are taking back the food system.
