Joyce (gen one) and Aleah (gen two)manage a small herd of goats and produce a variety of dairy products for both retail and wholesale customers. Our Nubian dairy goats produce the rich delicious milk we use to make our cheese, yogurt and fudge and are managed with love and respect and without hormones or other unnecessary substances. Each of our milking ladies were born on the farm and will live their entire life with us, our goats are never culled for meat production. It is our goal to operate as a no kill dairy and we are in the process of attaining Certified Humane status for our herd. Our artisan farmstead cheeses are made in small batches using vegetarian rennet and are suitable for vegetarians seeking to avoid animal rennet used in cheesemaking. Herbs used to flavor our cheeses are certified organic or grown by us without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. Our cheeses are used by chefs throughout the region and our fresh ricotta won gold at the 2019 NYS Fair. Acorn Hill Farm is a NYcertified farm and dairy committed to sustainable farming and food safety. |

![]() Back Home Farm2387 Lucas Turnpike website: https://www.backhomefarmny.com/ We are a small organic farm with a lot of history. We currently grow vegetables, herbs, flowers, mushrooms, and specialty hemp. Our farm store is open Saturdays and Sundays (9-3) Stop on bye! A little more about us… Throughout 2019, we built a new barn, wash shed, greenhouse, and restored the original 1882 farm house. We are constantly working on restoring the land with cover crops and a hemp crop to break up the hard pan and add more organic matter to the soil. The soil on the farm is what we are in most awe of. It’s rockless, holds moisture, and is extremely nutrient rich due to the occasional river flooding. This results in nutrient dense crops that are strong against pest/disease and most importantly taste great. We are USDA certified organic and are strong supporters of small farms that are taking back the food system. |

During the 1970’s, the business transformed to a smaller, more retail focused farming operation including the farm stand which remains today on Route 209 outside the Village of Ellenville. Today, our 4th generation family farm grows many vegetables and fruits as well as making our own Apple Cider and baked goods. We carry a full line of greenhouse grown plants and nursery stock — from fruit trees and shrubs to Christmas trees and more. Most recently we have expanded our business by purchasing an ice cream stand right next door to our farm stand. There we offer locally made ice cream and more. |

![]() Stone Ridge Orchard3012 Route 213 website: http://www.stoneridgeorchard.com/ Stone Ridge Orchard is a 200-year-old historic working orchard in the heart of the Rondout Valley. Over the past several years we’ve taken yet another big step by diversifying beyond the apple world and planting sweet cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums, and Asian pears – fruits that had never even been grown here before. We also added small fruits like strawberries, blueberries, gooseberries, various raspberries, arctic kiwis, and even pumpkins and melons to the menu, making Stone Ridge Orchard a veritable encyclopedia of culinary delight. Although not everything we grow is available for pick-your-own, all of our fruit can be purchased at our fruit stand. But like all farmers, we work with the rhythms of the crops, and when a fruit or vegetable is sold out, we’ll all just have to wait until next year for more of it. It’s the natural dictate of the growing season, which is just the way things should be. |
