Tongore Brook Farm™ is a small family farm offering sustainable four-season NOFA-NY and USDA GAP/GHP Certified Organic microgreens grown on the historic Dutch and English Colonial-period farmed Uplands of the Rondout Valley. We serve wholesale customers throughout the Hudson Valley and in New York City. Our farm also produces USDA Certified Organic forest maple sap products and medicinal plants. We will also begin hosting on-farm educational events in the summer of 2021.
Our "Sun, Soil, and Rainwater Fed™" crops are produced in a greenhouse built with the cooperation of New York State Energy and Research Development Authority. Our unique geothermal technology and related systems allow year-round local production at 90% energy offset based on comparable size baseline models. Irrigation water is four-times filtered potable rainwater; soils are Certified Organic; sun exposure is optimized by automated shade systems; all our seeds are non-GMO and certified organic.
