The 12th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep
May 6 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Every year, thousands of volunteers come together across hundreds of miles of shoreline in New York City and the Hudson Valley for the Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the Hudson River. Volunteers clean up tons of trash, plant healthy vegetation, and remove invasive plant species at more than 100 locations. Over 10+ years, Sweep volunteers have removed more than 300 tons of debris and planted or maintained thousands of trees and shrubs. Once-neglected areas have gained year-round stewards, and rivers and creeks are better for it” (Riverkeeper.com).
We welcome you to take part in the 12th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep. Join a shoreline cleanup, an invasive species removal project, or a tree planting project at a location near you.
