“Pooches & Pumpkins”, a Family and Dog-Friendly Halloween Event

Join us for a fun-filled day at Stone Ridge Orchard! Get ready to celebrate the fall season with your furry friends. Our event, Pooches & Pumpkins, is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the crisp autumn air and create lasting memories with your four-legged pals.
Bring the whole family, including your furry canine for a fresh-air filled day on the farm! And make sure you wear your Halloween costumes!

To highlight the importance of local food and farmland preservation, Stone Ridge Orchard is hosting this fall event with farm-fresh food, local NY State cider, kids’ activities, and more.
Pooches & Pumpkins is a Halloween farm event for the whole family and their canines, kicks off on Sunday, October 29th from 11 am-4 pm, at Stone Ridge Orchard. Attendees are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes for the festivities, which will include pumpkin painting, pumpkin patch, pet, kid and adult costume contests and a costume photo station.
Visitors can hike up to the majestic 300-year old oak tree high atop the sprawling 115-acre farm with a view of the Hudson Valley and the Catskills and breathe in the fresh fall air, or stay near the farm bar to enjoy lunch.
As a special treat kid’s story time will be held in the garden and our special guest will read dog themed books.
The Ulster County SPCA will be holding a dog adoption event to benefit the shelter. The SPCA will be accepting donations of: Wet/Dry Kitten, Cat & Dog food, Cat Litter, Cats Beds/Hideys, Cat & Dog Toys, 6′ Leashes (1″ Width), Towels, Sheet & Lightweight Blankets.
We will also be hosting a food drive for our local Rondout Valley Food Pantry. Please consider donating Canned goods (vegetables, fruits, soups, juices, jelly, peanut butter), Dry goods (cereals, rice, pasta), Personal care items (toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, sanitary napkins) and /or Household products (laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap)
Fall photo opportunity present by David Leifer. Each person/family/pet will get a 2-5 minute mini session with a single digital print sent to them via email for $10. Additional prints will be available for purchase. Time slot reservations will be accepted in advance. David will be making a gracious donation to the SPCA of $5 with every mini photo session he provides.
Food and beverages for sale include wood-fired pizza, plus cider, cider donuts, apples, apple pies, and tarts. Pending availability and weather conditions, apple picking may still be possible at the time of the event.
