Permaculture Course – Designing with Water in Mind

This course will focus in-depth on the energetics of water in the landscape by designing in the context of your watershed and implementing multi-functional Pharmscapes. You will learn layout and integration of off-the-grid, passive and gravity fed water supplies and low tech active systems.

Topics covered: finding and developing springs, uses for springs, where to create ponds, siting buildings & earthworks for optimal rainwater catchment sending overflows to rain gardens, gray water systems.

Hands-on activities: identifying and working with rain water systems, clearing springs and improving ponds.
