Movable Beast Farm raises grass fed and finished beef. Our work is guided by three ideals:
" Producing food that is natural, safe, nourishing and delicious
" Respecting and honoring the creatures under our care
" Healing and enriching the land
Although not organically certified, our animals diet consists entirely of pasture plants, kelp, organically approved minerals and salt. In the winter they eat hay and baleage (fermented hay). They receive no grain. We don't use herbicides, pesticides or chemical fertilizers on the pasture land nor do we use any growth hormones, antibiotics, insecticides, chemical wormers or other poisons on the animals. The animals are moved to fresh pasture on a daily basis and through their work (with a little guidance from their herdsman) they have transformed 80 acres of worn out hayfield into healthy pasture land.
